By now many people are having reception issues with iPhone4 and no one knows if its a hardware issue or a software issue.
So far the commonly used methods are:
1. Rubber Band around the iPhone 4
2. A Silicone Case [iPhone 3GS Case)
3. Reset Network Settings [Remove SIM]
4. Tape around the antenna
Apple suggested buying a Bumper Case, but unfortunately it didn't work
